How to make a copy of a “source” page or post that uses the Page Builder into a new “destination” page.
Overview: copy-paste from the source to the destination page:
- the full content of the post (from the text tab in classic mode)
- custom CSS
Step by step instructions:
Edit the source page
Click the “Classic Mode” button (unless you’re already in Classic Mode, in which case the button would read “Page Builder” – if it says “Page Builder,” don’t click it)
Click the “Text” tab in the upper right of the editing area
Select everything in the editor: click in the editing area and press Ctrl+A
Copy the selected text (Ctrl+C)
Paste it into the text tab of the destination page
Follow the above path on the destination page:
- make sure you’re in “Classic Mode”
- click the “Text” tab
- paste the copied content into the Text tab (Ctrl+V)
Back on the source page, click on the “Page Builder” button
Click on the gear icon in the upper right
Highlight all the CSS code in the popup window (Ctrl-A) and copy it (Ctrl-C)
Paste that CSS in the same place on the destination page
- Click on Page Builder
- Click the gear icon in the upper right
- Paste (Ctrl-V) the CSS you just copied from the source page
Make any desired edits to the destination page.
Make sure you preview before you save or publish.
