Live videos often start before the actual event and should be trimmed afterwards so viewers don’t need to skip ahead to find the beginning of the thing they want to watch
Right after a live video ends, it will be processing for a while – during this time, you can’t trim it
When it’s done processing, edit the video and click on “Enhancements”
Click on the “Trim” button at the bottom right of the player
Trim the ends of the video
There are different ways to do this (you can drag the handles in from the ends of the clip), but the timeline is a little clunky and often the best way is:
- Find the time in the video where you want it to start and pause the video there
- Click the “Split” button
- Click the “X” over the lead-in clip you want to delete

- When you’re finished, click “Done”

- And also make sure you click “Save” in the upper right

It will take a while to finalize the changes – until they’re done, it will say “Edit in progress” in the Video Manager
