Since we share a database with KAKM, we will occasionally have programs with a different time than KAKM has. So, what happens is the main program record will have one time (e.g. 26:46, and our media will have another 26:45). These will show up as teal in the programming grid and should be corrected before logs are generated and breaks are built. Below is the most effective way that I’ve found to do this. I generally wait until after I’ve rippled out the schedule for a week and then page through the Weekly Scheduling Grid looking for a teal blocks.
Once you’v found a teal block, select that block and right click your mouse, select Air Dates
It will present you with a list of Air Dates for that particular show (if it has aired before, you generally see the correct length that we aired the last time):
You can copy that length by hovering over the correct time, right mouse clicking, and selecting “Copy Field”.
Once you’ve copied the “correct” Length, you can go down the list of each of the air dates for which you have “incorrect” lengths and correct them. Select them one at a time, Press “U” for Update (or Select Edit | Update or F5). From the Air Date Information dialogue press “L” or click the “Length” button. Then press CTRL+V to paste in the time that you copied in. Alternatively you can type it in manually (the dialogue does list the time for which the media information has). But the Length in the air date needs to match the Length listed in the Media record.
