Log in to Facebook
Go to KTOO’s Facebook page
Click on the “Events” tab
Click the “Create Event” button
Optional: if you have an image for the event, click “Add Event Photo” to upload it.
After you upload it, you can click and drag to decide which part of the image is shown.
Enter the event title under “Event Name”
Enter a “Location.” As you type, you’ll have the option to select the Facebook page for the location (like KTOO), but you can also just enter text).
Enter a start and end time (actual event times, not just when the doors open if there is an actual start time).
Select a category for the event
Enter a description of the event.
Optional: enter tags, a ticket URL, and tag co-hosts.
(Co-host example: you can create an event under KTOO, but have it co-hosted by 360 North or KRNN).
Click the “Publish” button to make the event live.
You can also click the down arrow to see options to save it as a draft for later or schedule it to publish in the future.
Sharing: The event will automatically publish to the page’s timeline, but you can also share it on other pages in a couple of ways:
1) Share it on another page (under the “Invite” dropdown)
2) Add it to another page (under the “…” dropdown) – this will not post it to that page’s timeline, but it will show up under that page’s “Events” tab
